Channing Law advises on a Pioneering Solar and Storage Power Project in Mozambique

Channing Law is pleased to have advised Globeleq on the EPC and O&M aspects of a pioneering 19MWp solar and 7MWh storage power project at Cuamba in Mozambique.

Channing Law acted as sole external legal advisors on the EPC and O&M Agreements. The project marks a major milestone for the region as it will be one of the first IPP grid-scale storage plants in sub-Saharan Africa. The project will increase Mozambique’s power supply by adding clean energy to the national grid. By harnessing grid-connected solar with battery storage, the project will assist in solving network management issues and reducing transmission losses.

Channing Law is pleased to be at the forefront of innovative solutions to Africa’s power sector. For further information, please contact chana.abrams@channing-law.co.uk. Further, Channing Law is pleased to announce the launch of our new website available at www.channing-law.co.uk.
